A traditional rural Institute surrounded by beautiful Eden Valley countryside — a place for village traditions, family celebrations, community events and memorable country weddings.

From whist drives, domino drives and village suppers to weddings, celebrations and our much-loved annual duck race and summer show, Musgrave Parish Institute has been part of parish life for generations.
The Institute includes a kitchen/supper room, snooker room, main hall with a raised stage, crockery, tables and chairs, outdoor seating, and accessible toilets. Outside, the lawn gives events room to spill into the countryside — and can accommodate a small marquee for larger celebrations.

More than a hundred classes, with produce, baking, crafts, flowers, pets and outside games.
Held every year on the Sunday of August Bank Holiday weekend, the Summer Show brings together entries from across the parish and beyond.

500+ ducks. One River Eden. Four prizes.
The annual Musgrave Duck Race sends hundreds of numbered rubber ducks racing along the River Eden.
Supporters “buy” a numbered duck before the race. More than 500 can be released together, with the first four across the finish line winning prizes.
